The chick is back in the fold

Sorry, Bobert, but your loss is my gain. At least for a bit. Nikki is here for a visit. Not so much a visit as surgery. But, I tend to look at life through rose colored glasses until some freakoid (yes, I said freakoid...get over it) points out the obvious. Anyway, she is here, and we are having fun.

Of course, we have already been shopping. Not wanting to over-tax her back (it is, after all back surgery she is here for) we only went to two stores. TJ Maxx, our all time favorite and a thrift store...our other all time favorite. Here is a glimpse of the pie plate with stand that I bought at TJ's, already adorned with a chocolate pie.

Salvation Army was closed (despite the claim on their site that this one was open at noon). So, we lucked upon a Goodwill Store. Dang, I love those stinky places. And, yes, I got a few things. A new pair of khaki pants by Tommy Hilfiger, a cute little white blouse by Talbot's, a gorgeous light blue sarong with orange flowers, a journal, and The King of Torts by John Grisham for Bumble. All for the grand total of $13.90!!

It would be nice to hit the beach when the red tide rolls out.
